The NCS 360 programme is a part of the national government funded National Citizen Service summer programme. The aim is to promote a more cohesive, responsible and engaged society by bringing ‘waves’ of young people from different backgrounds together to make a difference in their Yorkshire communities. Change Agents UK are a part of a consortium of four like-minded organisations delivering the programme, specifically the recruitment of staff to work with the 360 young people, summer 2012.
There are three roles that will shape the experiences young NCS 360 participants have, through motivation and support. Each ‘wave’ of young people needs direction, development and commitment from trained staff, this will make a lasting difference to the young people and their communities.
Change Agents UK will be ensuring the full training for the roles including;
- Facilitation and decision making during group activities and meetings
- Time management, organisational and problem solving
- Team working and supporting
- Communication and critical thinking skills
- Structured work experience in Youth Working
