Change Agents UK has been awarded EU Leonardo Funding to send 86 UK-based graduates on funded sustainability-themed internships with 17 partners across Europe between 2013-2015.
Change Agents UK's 2013-2015 Leonardo Programme is themed 'Green graduates for Sustainable Futures' and as ever, aims to bring you quality learning opportunities and work experience, to boost your employability and drive sustainability across Europe. As an official Leonardo Mobility sending organisation since 2011, we have many long standing host partners involved, as well as some fantastic new hosts to suit graduates with various degrees and a range of work experiences.
About our Leonardo Programme:
We have joined forces with 17 host partners across Europe to deliver funded 9, 12 or 16 week placements that offer fantastic professional development opportunities to graduates passionate about sustainability. The programme is funded by the EU Commission, the through the Lifelong Learning Programme. Participants will gain an understanding of sustainability related projects in an international context, develop their employability skills and gain experience in areas ranging from community and international development, research, EU policy, green energy and beyond. Participants will also boost their cultural understanding of the host country and enhance their language skills. If you are a graduate looking to build your skills and gain experience in an international context, then this could be the programme for you!

Costs to participants: Participants are provided with a living allowance, to cover their accommodation, food and travel expenses whilst on placement. Return travel expenses to and from the host country will be covered.
Training and Support: Change Agents UK will host a mandatory induction day before departure, provide on-going support throughout the placement, engage each participant in post-project evaluation and provide opportunities for volunteers to receive official accreditation through City & Guild Professional Development Award for their work. This is to ensure that all placements are geared towards volunteers’ professional development and that all participants have a positive experience.
We've had fantastic feedback from our current and past Leonardo volunteers - 80% of whom have found 'next-step' jobs soon after finishing their Leonardo placement. In fact, Change Agents UK has been made a finalist for Best Organisation in the National Council for Work Experience Awards, for the innovation and quality demonstrated by our European Leonardo Mobility Projects.
