Warwickshire Community Recycling

Make A Job... From Volunteer To Social Enterprise Leader

We have two exciting opportunities for entrepreneurial sustainability graduates with Warwickshire Community Recycling (WCR).  These opportunities could see you leading a new social enterprise within the next few months!

They are voluntary roles initially with expenses covered to ensure you are not “out of pocket”.  The really exciting opportunity is that these voluntary roles give you the opportunity to create a job.

At this stage we are looking for a person, or persons, who would be willing to volunteer some of their time to develop the above project. Though some fieldwork might be useful most, if not all, of the above could be achieved from your own home. Warwickshire Community Recycling would, at least initially, be the organisation directly supporting your work and you will have control of your role and your progression. We would also provide introductions to our existing partners and, through our extended network, to any others that you think might be interested.

A Social Enterprise Model

Initially, what we’d like to see is a model, in any format, that describes in some detail what the operation might look like in a number of iterations, so you should have a reasonable idea of how to achieve this. Subsequent to this we are willing to consider a number of options, which may lead to a more gainful and long-term relationship.

• WCR, or any of the other partners, may look to taking this on as a part of their operations and offer employment on this project.
• Another company could be set up to look at future funding for the project and this may, in the future, be able to offer employment.
• Through your work on the project you may see the potential for developing your own enterprise.
